Safety for both pedestrians and vehicles is one of the most important factors for outdoor lighting. Both groups must feel safe, good lighting is a very effective means. Many buildings leave the lighting on full all night, which is an unnecessary use of energy and creates more light pollution. By choosing luminaires with SmartScan, the lighting system can be set to ON and OFF times, where energy savings are minimized considerably. SmartScan remote groups can be configured in three ways:
- Presence detection (default setting) ON between set times OFF between set times
In all three scenarios, the integrated light sensor ensures that the luminaires are OFF if there is sufficient daylight.
