Emergency lights
Emergency lighting is a collective term for lighting that provides increased safety and extra visual visibility in the event of evacuating a building in an emergency. Emergency lighting is an important part of any lighting system in all types of buildings, whether public or commercial. NS-EN1838 and NS-EN50172 are leading requirements and standards that lay down guidelines for how emergency lighting systems should be designed and maintained. There is now a requirement for functional testing and an annual check of any emergency lighting system at specified intervals.
